• I just came home from one of the best nights ever! I’m proud to say that with all the wonderful support from all my friends and buyers, I was able to raise enough money from my Closet Clean-Out Sales to help rescue a North Korean refugee through the non-profit organization, LiNK! Do you know what that means? It means a whole new way of life and freedom to this individual. And I cannot express how thrilled I am to be able to take part in that.

• Liz, My, and I attended a screening of LiNK‘s documentary called “Hiding.” It tells the story of North Koreans who are living in fear as they are hiding in China. They hide because if caught by the police, they will get sent back to North Korea into an imprisonment camp or killed. The documentary featured a rescue mission of 5 refugees and the journey they went through. Those who escaped due to starvation had to leave their family members behind, not knowing if they’ll ever be reunited again. It’s pretty disheartening to think that people are born into a life like this. We have it so good and often take all this freedom and everyday luxuries for granted.

• The response to my sales was overwhelming to say the least. My initial goal was to raise $1000 and donate 100% of the profits. I started the sales on October 23rd, and in a matter of 3 days I was able to raise $1000. By the 7th day, I had reached $2000! Simply amazing you guys! Thank you so much! I’ve sold about half of my stuff, so please continue to spread the word and buy! And I’ll continue to donate all the money towards helping another life! C’mon you guys, we can do it

• It was a surreal experience for me to hand a check to Sean (a LiNK Nomad) that would directly change the life of another human being. It got me really shaken up, still am. A lot of people questioned why I was donating all the money I made. Well, why not? I have more than what I need in life, so why not spread it to those who don’t? I’m so glad to have been able to help out in my own way
