Happy Harajuku Holiday
This day was full of farewells, festivals, and fun! We graciously gave our money to the arcade playing the claw machines. Then it was a quick stop to Shibuya 109 again.(yes again; but seriously where’s my full day of uninterrupted shopping? too many intermissions!) Witnessed spirited groups of people taking over the streets carrying shrines while chanting and singing. Hopped over to Harajuku to visit the super crowded Takeshita doori. And ended the night in Roppongi to watch the best trans-sexual show, Roppongi Kingyo!

September 18, 2011 :: Day 6 – Harajuku, Roppongi
We managed to win some small plashes before Jamie headed home for the states!

My Shibuya Shopper Girls! The store behind us Club KT later opened the following week. I swear, stores open and have their “Renewal” openings and “Fall Autumn Fair” Sales every other day!! I can’t keep up!

THE ONLY PHOTO I HAVE WITH LIZ & NARA IN TOKYO T_T That’s not right…REDO TOKYO TRIP!
Nara returned my giant duffle bag to me, which I used as an extremely large shopper bag. It was quite spacious to accomodate all of my purchases without cluttering up my arms. I just can’t turn around too quickly without crashing into someone.

Liz & Nara literally had a few minutes before they left for the airport, but we managed to squeeze in a quick trip to my awesome shoe store where she scored 3 pairs of shoes in less than 15 minutes! SCORE!! Check it, asbee has awesome women’s shoes in the bottom floor. It’s the cornerstore in the crowded alleyway in Shibuya. You’ll find it.

We had no idea what holiday everyone was celebrating. It was fun all the same! Street Swagger, Robyn’s got it!
Shibuya Street Gangsters for Life!
The purikura booths are so technologically advanced! The machines will doll you up with giant eyes, false lashes, and glowing radiant skin! I can’t believe we’ve been in asia for so long without taking any yet!

We walked over to Harajuku after realizing our hotel was a quick 15 minute walk away! Can we say prime location?! On our way, we made a quick detour to check out the Nepal Festival going on!

Awesome Building

2NE1!!

In front of the entrance to the Meiji Shrine

The famous alleyway, takeshita doori was packed with people

I saw soooo much patriotic fashion!

got some sweet chestnut buns before heading back to the hotel. he was hard at work making these buns all day long in the humid weather!

discovered there was a shop selling tofu ice cream right across from our hotel! oh the wonders we discovered by exploring the other side of our hotel ![]()

took a quick nap before heading out again…hey man, we’re old…girl’s gotta rest sometime! and got quickie fast-food dinners at KFC & McDonald’s…Apparently it’s taboo to walk and eat in Japan. It makes you look glutinous, so I squatted on the sidewalk to finish my food. I looked like a poor runaway instead. I’m okay with that.

followed some shady yet accurate directions and barely made it in time for Roppongi Kingyo! I saw this show back in 2007 and was blown away. One of the performer’s Baby Shimmer Shine hooked us up for the show ![]()

During the show they called for “Jamie-san”, party of 3. We looked around confused and assumed it was us. Hoorah we got to get up on stage for a photo ![]()
