A day spent at the Asakusa temple! Here you can get your fortune, shop for traditional souvenirs, and eat lots of fun food on a stick and delicious ice cream in an array of flavors! I sure ate my worth of battered dough goodies! I also got a bad fortune which I sent away. Boo! Also took a quick trip to the Shibuya Disney Store in the morning. Imagine 3 floors of Disney goodness that’s different from the theme parks! Later we returned to Shibuya for some more shopping at yup…Shibuya 109, dinner at Mos Burger, and more purikura times! And ate some chicken fingers with a variety of sauces such as curry powder, lemon juice, and chocolate sauce!
Bad Fortune Be Gone!
September 19, 2011 Asian Adventure – Day 7!
I was so stoked the Disney store was a block away from our hotel!
The decor inside was stunning. Top notch. Well done Disney Japan.
Disney always has the cutest collection of plushes. They’re sleeping! DAWWWW!! I searched 3 different Disney stores while in Japan for the big version of Donald. Sold Out everywhere! T_T
Little boy scouts!
Visiting Asakusa was really fun. I went on my first trip but thought Robyn would enjoy taking in the sights and food!
This was the main reason why I wanted to come back here…Soft serve ice cream in soooo many flavors!!!! Tofu & Sweet Potato are my favorite!
Food on a stick is always good!
Flippin’ rice crackers like a pro!
These were soooo good! I think I bought 8 of them to try! They’re fried bean chewy buns…I dunno how to describe it, but its good!
And then I got an ice cream burger…Didn’t I just have soft serve? Yeah, so?
I had to stand at the stall to finish my food. They don’t like you eating and walking around.
he looks so mean! probably because he didn’t get any ice cream…
What? So rad.
I LOVE SHIBA INUS!
Shrine Carrier Party line!
This is where I met my stalker on my first trip in 2007. He followed me everywhere and called me his “Venus” out loud. He was no where to be found this time
I ate this thing called tama kon nyaku. It’s a root jelly thing that’s seasoned with soy sauce & cuttlefish. It looked good. I was dumb enough to slab a big amount of japanese mustard and stuff it all in my mouth, forgetting that it was horseradish (which i hate). I immediately started coughing and tearing up like a crazy woman. The man at the stall watched me asking if I was okay. lol fail.
My & Robyn were smart and cooled down with cucumbers & beef as I was still dying.
Cleanse yourself with holy water before entering the temple!
Nice solid door for an outfit shot! I’m wearing everything I bought in Japan!! Look at how much earth tones I’m wearing! WHAAAAA?!! I’ve been converted to the brown side and it’s pretty cute!
Top (Rojita), Shorts (Random Sock Shop), Hat (Liz Lisa), Boots (asbee)
This guy is being too aggressive with her face for my liking
he’s tired too…naptime!
He sees you when you’re sleeping…
sticky rice balls with seaweed…what more can an asian girl want?
Who killed mouse?
Green Bean Red Bean Taco? OMG
The green tea here was superb. So refreshing. And what is this? Sweet Potato Cake Shake?! OMG WHY DON’T I HAVE TWO STOMACHS?
We decided on green tea shaved ice with sweet rice balls
And then I got soft serve ice cream…again! WHAT?! Don’t judge, you would too if you knew how good they were!
hold the peen…
nice pants bro~
Took the train back to Shibuya to get some dinner…Had a veggie rice burger at Mos Burger. It’s a fast-food chain, but it’s good!
My haul from Shibuya 109. Yeah I have a problem. I should’ve been documenting how much I bought each time I went there.
Hit up the arcades to take some purikuras. I just love all the photos on their booths! So extravagant! They look like magazine ads!
I do want legs like Bambi
Finally was able to try this chicken place. It was always closed every time we went! Chicken with chocolate sauce wasn’t so bad…
