May 10th was an awesome day of new album releases!!!

I’m so attractive. Just like the Dudes.

The Lonely Island’s Turtleneck & Chains is the highly anticipated followup album to Incredibad which came out last year. The Dudes consist of BFF’s Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone…The three funniest, and strangest white guys to have blessed my life with awesome hiphop comedic tracks. Anyone who knows me is aware of my professed love for Andy Samberg. I spent a year following him around at various events in an attempt to ignite our love. Sadly, we have never met, but I know he’s aware of me. I’ve met Jorma and his entire family strangely enough. The Lonely Island touches on subjects very close to my heart such as a love for Jack Sparrow, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and Japan. We get each other. And I appreciate that. Not only are the Dudes the best fake hiphop group, but their fashion sense never ceases to amaze. Everyone bust out your turtlenecks and chains. It’s gonna be a hot summer! And let’s cross our fingers that they finally go on tour!

The Lonely Island -- Jack Sparrow

So you know that cute girl with the blonde chunk who sings “Jar of Hearts”…Yeah that’s Christina Perri’s and her debut album, Lovestrong, has finally released this past Tuesday!! I became addicted after seeing her perform as the opening act for Jason Mraz back in July 2010. It was her first live concert and she was so excited and bubbly to boot despite singing about heartbreak. She has a sweet, raspy voice that resonates the emotions in her songs well. A few months later, she released her first EP, The Ocean Way Sessions. I listened to those 5 tracks religiously as I awaited for each song of the album to be completed. Now with the album in my hand, I can enjoy 15 songs that will be on constant play on my drives up and down to LA. She’ll be headlining her first tour this summer, so join me when she hits Los Angeles in August! Oh and her song was also sung on Glee’s prom episode this week Though I much prefer Christina’s version better

Finally Glee’s hottie teacher Mr. Schuester aka Matthew Morrison released his self-titled album this week as well! This guy has a background in musical theatre so you know his vocals are killer smooth. I would give anything to see him reprise his role as Link Larkin in Hairsprary!! This 10-track album features duets with Sting, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Elton John. What more do you want? You won’t catch him on the GLEE tour since he’ll be hitting the road to promote his album. Anyone want to see him in the Bay Area with me July 21st? Hit a girl up. We can swoon and sigh together

I’m having a great day and it’s only lunchtime! First off, I finished with my grueling work week! I was already smiling around 2am this morning in anticipation for my week off! Sweet sweet Freedom! It’s amazing how my mood lifts when I’m not working

Then I had Chaz tweet at me! That sure made my morning! Why is this exciting? Because he’s an awesome friend of The Lonely Island. He’s also a talented pelvic thruster (See movie: Hot Rod).

Then I realized that he probably saw my creepy twitter icon of me idolizing Andy Samberg. Oh wells.

Also got my super 90′s platforms ala Spice World from Korea! This is a cheaply made shoe, but hey! You get what you paid for! And I do love me some platform sneakers!

A trip to Target scored me some awesome bikinis WITH pushup! Cause gosh knows I need all the help I can get! Much cheaper than the ones at Victoria’s Secret that’s for sure! Who wants to play in the beach with me?! I need to frolic and become one with the ocean!

And I also bought socks from the girl’s section. They just have better stuff. I’m a sucker for anything floral, polkadot, and stripes! The black socks are my “work” socks. hahaha!

Lastly, a child’s swimsuit worn as an everyday top. Nothing out of the norm really. I spotted a really cute toddler’s swimsuit too….but that’s pushing it

• Check out this awesome collab. Someone created the music. Another sampled and rapped. Then Joseph Gordon-Levitt added drums and a second verse. Love it! Check out his site which is an open collaborative company where artists, writers, musicians, ANYONE contributes pieces to make something cool together. It’s quite inspiring.

I’ve got a lot of exciting things going on this week: working on an art project, SF Foodie Adventure, seeing Hugh Jackman SING, Bunnies & Bows, Unique LA, and Game Night at the Brothel! I hope everyone has a splendid day and rest of the week!

I’m sure most of you are aware of the devastating news that has hit Japan. It’s strange, I was watching 30 Rock last night and the episode was about filming a benefit for natural disaster that hadn’t occurred yet. Then next thing I know, I’m seeing footage from the earthquake on Japan on the news. It was quite appropriate that I was already preparing to post up new items to sell anyway.

I too am guilty of checking my phone everyone once in a while on the road and will stop now. I urge everyone out there to make a resolution to not look at your phone, to not answer or read a text while driving. We think we can multi-task, but those few seconds puts your life and everyone else’s at risk. It’s not worth it.

Just got back from Miami for Art Basel/Sanrio Small Gift Miami! I shall attempt to get those photos up ASAP! And post all the bajillion of Sanrio Small Gift LA madness and events that took place in November!! Too much going on! I wish I could pause time to catch up on life…

I’ve been in the biggest Christmas mood! I want to see The Nutcracker ballet, A Christmas Carol, go sledding and skiing, bake treats, volunteer at some shelters, drink all the peppermint mocha frapps as i can, stock up on Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Joe’s Joes, and dress up in girl’s holiday dresses to take family portraits at Sears!! A dream Christmas indeed

One of my favorite memories of the holidays is my dad driving me to the gas station to buy a VHS copy of A Charlie Brown Christmas…Why at the gas station? I dunno, but that’s what we did

Today, I’ll be taking my aunt and lil cousin Connor to see Shrek the Musical in honor of his 10th birthday! I still remember him as the cutest lil 1 year old with the biggest smile dawwww~^^

• I just came home from one of the best nights ever! I’m proud to say that with all the wonderful support from all my friends and buyers, I was able to raise enough money from my Closet Clean-Out Sales to help rescue a North Korean refugee through the non-profit organization, LiNK! Do you know what that means? It means a whole new way of life and freedom to this individual. And I cannot express how thrilled I am to be able to take part in that.

• Liz, My, and I attended a screening of LiNK‘s documentary called “Hiding.” It tells the story of North Koreans who are living in fear as they are hiding in China. They hide because if caught by the police, they will get sent back to North Korea into an imprisonment camp or killed. The documentary featured a rescue mission of 5 refugees and the journey they went through. Those who escaped due to starvation had to leave their family members behind, not knowing if they’ll ever be reunited again. It’s pretty disheartening to think that people are born into a life like this. We have it so good and often take all this freedom and everyday luxuries for granted.

• The response to my sales was overwhelming to say the least. My initial goal was to raise $1000 and donate 100% of the profits. I started the sales on October 23rd, and in a matter of 3 days I was able to raise $1000. By the 7th day, I had reached $2000! Simply amazing you guys! Thank you so much! I’ve sold about half of my stuff, so please continue to spread the word and buy! And I’ll continue to donate all the money towards helping another life! C’mon you guys, we can do it

• It was a surreal experience for me to hand a check to Sean (a LiNK Nomad) that would directly change the life of another human being. It got me really shaken up, still am. A lot of people questioned why I was donating all the money I made. Well, why not? I have more than what I need in life, so why not spread it to those who don’t? I’m so glad to have been able to help out in my own way

I had my eye on this toddler’s dinosaur costume. I wasn’t sure if it was going to fit, but I was determined! Post Halloween sales marked it down to $15! I came home to try it on and guess what?! IT TOTALLY FITS!!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Yet another year where I don’t get dressed up and go out. Well plus I have to work tonight…But honestly, Halloween scares me. I’m a big chicken. I love the dressing up part, but I do that year-round anyways so today is no different for me. Going out to party and getting drunk are just not my cup of tea. I do plan on dressing up as a gnome later in the year and invading people’s lawn for photo ops

I figure I’d do a Halloween-related post featuring my signature pose, Release the Bat!
